On Tuesday, at least three people, including an Idaho State Trooper, were injured in a multi-car crash on I-84. According to KBOI News Channel Two, the incident happened just outside of Nampa. For currently unknown reasons, a pickup truck sideswiped a tractor-trailer before crashing into a car that was pulled over by the Idaho State Trooper motorcycle officer. The officer was initially trapped between the truck and a barrier, but he was able to free himself. He was transported to the hospital, and two drivers involved in the crash were also injured.
At this time, there has been no word on the extent of injuries involved. Thankfully, the trooper is expected to be okay. No information has been released about how or why the pickup truck sideswiped the semi truck. The cause of this crash is still under investigation with law enforcement authorities. Investigations involving multiple automobiles and commercial trucking vehicles can be quite complex and lengthy. ANd issues of liability and fair recovery get far more complex.
